Manunui, Young tahitian Surfer

For a video clip project with Kanēa Tahiti school,
I was assigned to create the main character for the first 30 seconds (without the Intro) of the video for my team handling this sequence.

Meet Manunui, a young Tahitian surfer. The purpose was to blend two cultures – Maya and Polynesian – through a character bursting with life and passion. We incorporated typical Polynesian motifs and materials (weaving, surf shorts, pareo), plus an iconic tattoo!
